Vendor master management
Your vendor master is where every payment starts. One wrong bank account, a lapsed tax status or a duplicate supplier costs real money. Nexus manages vendor master records the same way it manages materials, with structured templates, workflow and a full audit trail, and checks each record against the authority systems that hold the facts.
The usual way
A supplier emails a PDF form. Someone retypes it into the ERP. The bank details get a phone call, if anyone has time. Six months later an email arrives asking to change the bank account, and nobody can say who approved the last change, or whether the first one was ever checked.
With Nexus
The supplier captures their own details through a secure Nexus request. Company, tax and banking details are validated against the source before a person approves anything. Every later change is validated again, routed for approval and logged, so the next change-of-bank-details email meets a process, not a person under pressure.
Registration number, legal name and company status confirmed against the company registry, CIPC in South Africa.
VAT registration verified against SARS records, with tax compliance status captured and tracked on the record.
Account holder, account number and branch confirmed with the bank through account verification before the first payment is made.
Level, issuing agency and expiry date captured from the certificate, with reminders before it lapses.
CSD numbers recorded and checked for suppliers who also do business with government.
Matching on registration, VAT and bank details stops the same supplier, or the same bank account, being created twice.
